SABLE DUNES AUDUBON SOCIETY
The Sable Dunes Audubon Society began in Oceana County and was chartered by the Michigan Audubon Society in 1982. Our objective is to promote public recognition of the need to protect and preserve bird species in Mason & Oceana Counties. We started with just a few people coming together to do what they love. Little did they know that it would grow into the energetic group of today. Our dedicated members enjoy meeting often for different events and activities.
Our door is always open to new members, no matter their experience level. We are proud to bring together people from all over and beyond. Come join us at our next event — we’d love to share all that Sable Dunes Audubon Society has to offer.
Through education, we provide public recognition of the value and need for protecting and preserving wildlife, plants, soil, water, and other natural resources and understanding their interdependence. To cooperate with other organizations working for the conservation of all natural resources. To promote an interest in our natural world because of its economic, cultural and recreational value.
